Welcome to the Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland Virtual Pet Food Pantry!
The Weirdos recognize that some of our members have fallen on hard times and need assistance with food and litter, while others are home-bound and unable to get to pet food pantries on their own. In the interest of helping those in need, we have started the Virtual Pet Food Pantry.
Pet Pantry recipients are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Approved recipients will receive assistance in 3 month increments and will be required to reapply at the end of each 3 months period in order to continue in the program. Applicants are eligible to receive pantry assistance for up to 6 months, or up to 9 months if they are receiving government assistance (proof is required). This may be consecutively or non-consecutively. Once applicants have received assistance for the maximum period of time stipulated, consecutively or not, they will then be required to wait 6 or 9 months before they are able to reapply.
Once a month, food and/or litter will be shipped directly to pantry members who are unable to leave their homes. For members who are not home-bound, in-store pickup will be offered once a month as well. The amount of food and litter received by each participant is distributed in fixed amounts, based on the number of pets in the home.
