Financial Assistance - Emergency Veterinary Care
Eligibility:

• Assistance is available for emergency care only- “Emergency” is defined as care being needed within 24-48 hours or the cat’s life is threatened; assistance is NOT available for non-emergency, routine vet care or diagnostics.
• Assistance is not available for existing vet bills or procedures already being performed.
• The cat in need must be a household pet cat (Proof of adoption of cat may be required).
• Applicant must be a member of the Weirdos Facebook Group for a minimum of 3 months and in good standing with the Group.
• Applicant must be a member residing in the state of Ohio.
• Applicant must not have had previous financial help from the Weirdos within the last 6 months.
• The Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland Board of Directors will evaluate and approve or deny applications on a case-by-case basis.

Guidelines for approved applications:

• Member must apply for Care Credit in an attempt to help cover some of the costs of the care.
• Member must pay for any portion of the bill that they are able to afford; this amount will be agreed upon up front.
• All funds provided by the Weirdos will be paid directly to the vet hospital performing the care.
• Emergency financial assistance provided by the Weirdos is based on our available funds when the application is received, as well as our ability ro raise any additional funds needed via an Emergency Post (EP) to our Facebook Page. However, the maximum amount that will be provided to any member shall not exceed $1,200.
