Welcome to our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Division!
TNR is a humane way to control stray and feral cat populations in our community. Using a humane trap, cats are caught, spayed/neutered and then either returned to their outdoor colony, or adopted into good homes if they are friendly. Not only does this keep cats from procreating and birthing thousands of homeless cats, we are also able to find homes for those who are not feral.
The Weirdos have TNR'd 82 cats and kittens as of May 15th this year and are currently working to TNR 5 other colonies in Northeast Ohio. Of the 82 cats, 30 kittens and 2 cats were able to be adopted into good homes. The remainder were spayed/neutered, received their rabies shot and were released.
The Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland TNR Division is headed up by Dawn Thomas. Dawn and her team do a fantastic job of providing TNR in heavily populated areas. Are you interested in finding out more, or need help with TNR in your area? Please send us an email to [email protected].
