orion's story

When we learned about Orion he was doing very poorly. He had already been admitted to the ER and was in an oxygen tent, diagnosed with pulmonary edema, fluid around his lungs and shortness of breath. The vet needed to keep him overnight for observation, blood work and X-rays. The cost was extremely high and Orion’s family had already paid as much as they were able to, which is when the Weirdos stepped in. The overwhelming generosity of our members allowed us to pay for the necessary diagnostics and treatment.

Thankfully, Orion was able to be weaned off oxygen the next morning. His lungs looked good on the X-rays. Without a lung biopsy, the exact cause for his symptoms was not known but he was treated for possible pneumonia and lung work. Orion was discharged and made a full recovery!
