At five-and-a-half years old, Phinny started developing crystals in his urethra and was unable to pass them and urinate on his own. Over the course of a week, he had been taken to the emergency vet a few times to try to remove the crystals and unblock him. At his most critical, the vet realized he was was unable to catheterize Phinny to help relieve him so it was determined that poor Phinny would require an expensive surgery to prevent this from happening to him again. The Weirdos, along with Red Rover, were able to assist Phinny’s parents in providing the care he needed. This surgery in combination with a diet change will hopefully keep Phinny healthy!
